By using this website and/or registering your details with The Onoto Pen Company Limited, you confirm your agreement to our Terms and Conditions as set out below.

1. The contract

1.1 Registration is only open to persons who are 18 years of age and over and who can form legally binding contracts under applicable law.

1.2 If your order is accepted, we will send you an e-mail or written confirmation of the acceptance of your order.

1.3 The Onoto Pen Company Limited is entitled to refuse any order placed by you.

1.4 You undertake that all details you provide to us for the purpose of ordering or purchasing goods are correct, that the credit or debit card you are using is your own and that there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the products ordered.

1.5 If there are any changes to the details supplied by you, it is your responsibility to inform The Onoto Pen Company Limited as soon as possible.

2. Website Terms of Use

2.1 We attempt to ensure that the information available on the website at any one time is accurate. However, we cannot guarantee that it will be fault-free.

2.2 The Onoto Pen Company Limited does not accept liability for any errors and omissions and reserves the right to change information, specifications and descriptions of listed goods at any time.

2.3 We will do our best to correct errors and omissions as quickly as practicable after being notified of them.

2.4 The Onoto Pen Company Limited does not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of the use of the website or for any products purchased from the website.

2.5 The Onoto Pen Company Limited will only be liable for direct loss up to a maximum total of the price of the product purchased in respect of any claim. Our liability applies only to the extent permitted by law.

3. Price and tax

3.1 Value Added Tax (VAT) is charged on most goods and services within the European Union. In the UK the rate is 20%.

3.2 The Onoto Pen Company Limited is required by law to collect VAT on orders dispatched to most countries within the European Union.

3.3 Orders with a delivery address within the EU will have VAT charges itemised on their invoice.

3.4 Orders sent to addresses anywhere else in the world will not be subject to VAT but they may be subject to local taxes and customs charges which are the recipients’ responsibility.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

4.1 The Onoto Pen Company Limited complies with the Distance Selling Directive and UK Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations.

4.2 Any item purchased may be returned within 30 days for a full refund without question.

4.3 If you have placed an order which has not been fulfilled, you may cancel it at any time prior to delivery, without penalty.

5. Lifetime Guarantee

5.1 All Onoto pens sold on this website or from our Authorised retailers are covered with a lifetime guarantee subject to the following conditions:

5.1.a The writing instrument guarantee covers faulty workmanship and faulty materials only and does not cover normal wear and tear.

5.1 b The warranty card must be returned to Onoto for registration so as to validate the lifetime guarantee;

5.1 c The warranty is not transferable and so applied to the first registered owner;

5.1 e The purchaser is responsible for the cost of returning the item to the Onoto workshop;

5.1.f Any modification to the writing instrument from its original specification will void the warranty.

5.2 The warranty that comes with your Lifetime Guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

6. Miscellaneous

6.1 From April 2017, all external metal components used in acrylic pens were upgraded to full sterling silver. However, there are a small number of stock pens made in the transitional period prior to April use silver plated base metal clips.
