Value Added Tax (VAT) is charged on most goods and services within the European Union. In the UK the rate is 20%. The Onoto Pen Company Limited is required by law to collect VAT on orders dispatched to most countries within the European Union. Orders sent to addresses anywhere else in the world will not be subject to VAT but they may be subject to local taxes and customs charges which are the recipients’ responsibility. For customers with a delivery address within the EU, VAT charges on your purchases will be itemised on your invoice.
All modern Onoto pens are covered with a lifetime guarantee subject to the following conditions:
- The writing instrument guarantee covers faulty workmanship and faulty materials only and does not cover normal wear and tear;
- The warranty card must be returned to Onoto for registration so as to validate the lifetime guarantee;
- The warranty is not transferable and so applied to the first registered owner;
- The purchaser is responsible for the cost of returning the item to the Onoto workshop;
- Any modification to the writing instrument from its original specification will void the warranty;
- This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
The Onoto Pen Company Limited complies with the Distance Selling Directive and UK Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations. It is a cornerstone of our business that any item purchased may be returned within 30 days for a full refund without question. If you have placed an order which has not been fulfilled, you may cancel it at any time prior to delivery, without penalty.
If you find the products you have bought are not as you had expected, or have been damaged in transit, please contact us initially by phone +44 (0)1603 811165 or email email@example.com We will advise the necessary course of action at that stage.
If you wish to cancel the order, we will refund the purchase price as soon as the goods have been returned. If you wish to replace the item, we will arrange a replacement as soon as possible. Our guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights.
For all returns, except where the item is faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the product. Personalised and customised orders are excluded from the return guarantee. This does not affect your statutory rights.
From April 2017, all external metal components used in acrylic pens were upgraded to full sterling silver. However, there are a small number of stock pens made in the transitional period prior to April use silver plated base metal clips. If this is of concern, please contact the company for further information.
