DESCRIPTION
A pen for every aircraft enthusiast… Milled from solid silver and inspired by one of the most famous planes, the Supermarine S6B, the ‘father’ of the Spitfire.
In the history of aviation, few people have made such an impact as Reginald Mitchell. Known simply as ‘RJ’, Mitchell revolutionised aircraft design in the early years of British aviation and is best-known as the designer of the Spitfire.
For The Aviator, we have turned to one of RJ’s earlier designs, the Supermarine S6B, for inspiration. The ridged fuselage of the Supermarine S6B, designed by Mitchell to cool the engine oil, is the inspiration behind the highly tactile barrel and cap of The Aviator.
The clip features the gold and silver Rod of Asclepius which is the symbol of medicine worldwide.
