DESCRIPTION
The Divinity Pen features the most iconic building of the University of Oxford – the Divinity School.
Nestled between the Bodleian Library and Sheldonian Theatre, the building is regarded as a masterpiece of English Gothic architecture. It is best known for its star-shaped lierne vaulted ceiling that binds 455 crests of the families and institutes that contributed to its foundation.
Erected between 1423 and 1488 for lectures, oral exams and discussions on theology, the Divinity School has since been witness to changing ideas in society and culture, including the filming of Harry Potter.
The pen cap captures the extraordinary delicacy of the fan-vaults, while the barrel is engraved with its unique Tudor arches.
The Divinity Pen is available in a Limited Edition of 100.
