The Millionaire Prototype pen is rooted in a shared industrial history that dates back to 1905, when Onoto was originally introduced by De La Rue as a premium writing instrument brand. More than a century later, this connection is revisited through a contemporary experimental piece that brings together two defining systems of value: currency and writing.
Based on the Onoto Scholar, the Millionaire Prototype pen is hand crafted from transparent resin, with shredded banknotes supplied by De La Rue embedded throughout both barrel and cap. The distribution of material is entirely non-uniform, resulting in a unique internal composition in every pen.

DESCRIPTION
Based on the Onoto Scholar, the Millionaire Prototype pen is crafted from transparent acrylic, with shredded banknotes supplied by De La Rue embedded throughout both barrel and cap. The distribution of material is entirely non-uniform, resulting in a unique internal composition in every pen.
The design is completed with gold fittings, reinforcing its archival and commemorative character. A distinctive cap band features the De La Rue portrait logo, a long-established symbol of the company’s identity.
