The “Neko” (Cat in Japanese) Pen is made to commemorate one of the greatest Japanese modern writers, Natsume Soseki. He owned an Onoto pen and had written an essay (“I and my fountain pens”) in 1911 referring to his experience with the Onoto pen.

This distinctive fountain pen in highly polished black acrylic is complemented by sterling silver fittings. It has a Cat engraved on the cap button in honor of his most famous piece of work, “I am a Cat”. In 1911, Soseki wrote an essay “I and my fountain pens” with his Onoto pen, where he talks of his experience writing with his Onoto pen.

Based on the style and shape of one of the most famous fountain pens ever made – the Onoto Magna of 1937 which is still acclaimed by many as the best fountain pen ever made – this pen has 3 sterling silver cap bands with the sterling silver Onoto Chevron clip. Marvel at its perfect balance and how tactile it feels – it is also one of the most robust pens on the market today, thanks to its durable, high-density acrylic composition.
