The “Neko” Pen – Inspired by Natsume Soseki
The “Neko” (Cat in Japanese) Pen is made to commemorate one of the greatest Japanese modern writers, and Onoto Custodian, Natsume Soseki.
This distinctive fountain pen in highly polished black acrylic is complemented by sterling silver fittings (or with gold plating). It has a Cat engraved on the cap button in honor of his most famous piece of work, “I am a Cat”. There is also engraving on the barrel of the writer’s name in Japanese.
In 1911, Soseki wrote an essay “I and my fountain pens” with his Onoto pen, where he talks of his experience writing with his Onoto pen.
This pen is available either in silver or gold finishes, both available in limited editions of 49.

This distinctive fountain pen in highly polished black acrylic is complemented by sterling silver fittings. Based on the style and shape of one of the most famous fountain pens ever made – the Onoto Magna of 1937 which is still acclaimed by many as the best fountain pen ever made – this pen has 3 sterling silver cap bands with the sterling silver Onoto Chevron clip.
